View: Tottenham will be delighted by what 85% star did last night, he is at top level again

Dejan Kulusevski is getting back to his best and the Tottenham forward’s performance for Sweden against Estonia proves it.

Ange Postecoglou had a nail-biting start to the season in the dugout after losing two of the first five games in the Premier League.

However, Spurs have performed better since and the 3-0 victory against Manchester United certainly calmed some nerves despite the loss that followed at Brighton.

After a slow start to his campaign, Kulusevski shone against the Red Devils, creating nine chances in the match, the most on record by a visiting player at Old Trafford [OptaJoe].

Unfortunately, the brilliant first half against Brighton was mired by a shoddy second-half display and the North London side could not build on their win over Erik Ten Hag’s side.

Tottenham forward Dejan Kulusevski has hit top form again

Despite the unacceptable loss to Brighton, Kulusevski seems to have gone into the international break with high spirits.

Sweden travelled to Le Coq Arena on 14 October and emerged victors with a 3-0 scoreline.

Kulusevski played the full 90 minutes for Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side, assisting Viktor Gyokeres for the Blue and Yellow’s third goal.

Apart from that, the 24-year-old’s overall game was spectacular, registering 85% pass accuracy and creating four chances, as per FotMob.

On top of that, he had five shots throughout the win with an expected goal and assist tally of 2.18, completing 79 touches and only losing the ball twice.

Postecoglou will be relieved to see one of his star players hitting the strides needed at this stage of the season.

As things stand, Tottenham are ninth in the Premier League table but are just four points behind Chelsea and the top four.

With Richarlison and Son Heung-min on the sidelines at the moment, Spurs need their other attacking stars to step up and Kulusevski has certainly done that in the last few weeks.

Hopefully, the Sweden international will be able to continue at this top level throughout the season and win trophies at the club after a long wait.
