Man United supporters are convinced that Viktor Gyokeres will be joining the side after Ruben Amorim’s first official interview with the club’s media team.

The new United boss discussed what he wants to achieve during his time in charge, but fans noticed him make a sign with his hands resembling Gyokeres’ goal celebration.

The 26-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford due to his connection with Amorim, who coached him at Sporting CP.

Gyokeres is proving to be prolific in front of goal this season having scored 23 times in 18 appearances across all competitions, making him a name in demand.

Football Insider reported that the Premier League giants are “definitely” plotting a move to sign the striker, who has a £85million release clause.

United have struggled for goals this season, scoring just 12 times in their opening 11 Premier League fixtures.
