Spain were overjoyed at the full time whistle on Tuesday night, as their place in the Euro 2024 final was assured – courtesy of a come-from-behind victory over France. It turns slightly sour for Alvaro Morata, who was the victim of a crunching challenge from one of the security guards at the Fußball Arena München.
The security guard in question rushed towards a fan that tried to get towards Spain’s celebrating group. As he did so, he slipped and collided with Morata, who was in obvious pain from the contact.

Fans coming on to the field of play has been a big problem throughout Euro 2024, and semi-final one was no different. One supporter tried to take a selfie with Kylian Mbappe during the match, and now this incident could have serious knock-on effects if Alvaro Morata is injured from the collision.
Spain will no doubt be monitoring Morata in the coming days for any after-effects from the collision. The good news is that there are five days until the final in Berlin.
