John Wenham believes Richarlison will leave Tottenham this summer.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has suggested that the club are growing tired of the Brazilians’s inconsistency.
As reported by Saudi Arabian news outlet Al-Riyadiyah (22 July), Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison are both transfer targets for Al-Ahli.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims a big-money offer would be snapped up by Daniel Levy.
“I do think Richarlison will be sold,” Wenham said.
“I just think the club have had enough of this situation where he is constantly injured or unavailable for selection.
“He did have that run where he scored at an impressive rate in the Premier League last season. He is a top player on his day.
“But he isn’t consistent enough. Therefore, if Tottenham get offered a fee of anywhere near the £60million they paid for him, I think they will bite that club’s hand off.”
Tottenham to receive big-money transfer offer for Richarlison?
It would be hard to blame Spurs for entertaining a big-money offer for Richarlison.
Considering how his time at Tottenham has gone, it would be fair to suggest that the club overpaid.
Therefore, if they were to be presented with the opportunity to recoup the fee they paid for him, it really would be a no-brainer for Levy and Spurs.
A replacement would of course need to be signed. However, the club would first and foremost just be relieved to get their money back on such an expensive asset.
And with interest from Saudi Arabia emerging, a big-money transfer offer might not be so unlikely.
