Wenham urges Ange to start Tottenham fringe player more regularly next season

John Wenham believes Radu Dragusin should start more often for Tottenham next season.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels that the Romanian will be an important part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans next season.

Dragusin signed for Tottenham in January but has so far made just nine appearances for the club.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is hopeful of seeing the 22-year-old play a bigger role next season.

“Dragusin absolutely must start more often next season,” Wenham said.

“We will have the UEFA Europa League and will hopefully go further in cup competitions, which will help.

“Also, I know people won’t want to hear this, but Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero will pick up injuries.

“Therefore, with the increased games, there should be plenty of opportunities for Dragusin to start next season.”

Will Ange Postecoglou start Radu Dragusin more frequently for Tottenham?

Dragusin finds himself in a very difficult position.

He has arrived at a club where two impressive centre-backs in Romero and van de Ven currently occupy the starting positions.

However, his performances with Romania at the 2024 UEFA European Championship demonstrate that he too deserves to start.

As a result, Postecoglou will need to find a way to keep all three centre-backs happy next season.
