Wenham wants Tottenham duo sold ASAP after pre-season development today

John Wenham wants Tottenham duo Sergio Reguilón and Bryan Gil sold “as soon as possible.”

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose is frustrated by the lack of concrete interest in either player.

As per the club’s official website (22 July), the Spanish duo have been left behind “to explore prospective transfer opportunities” as Tottenham jet off on their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims both players need to be moved on.

“There’s been no transfer talk at all regarding Gil,” Wenham said.

“He was linked quite strongly to Feyenoord previously, but that has died down. As for Reguilón, there has been nothing at all on him either.

“Neither of them have been named in the pre-season friendly squads so far, and they have now been left at home.

“These are two players who Tottenham need to move on as soon as possible.”

It has become abundantly clear that neither Gil nor Reguilón have a future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Gil hardly featured last season while Reguilón was sent out on loan twice, and Postecoglou has sent a message to both players by leaving them behind.

All attention should now be geared toward finding new clubs for the Spaniards ahead of the new season getting underway.

That has so far appeared difficult, and Spurs will therefore be keen to find any solution possible.

However, permanent sales would no doubt be preferable, and there should be plenty of hard work going on behind the scenes to make this a reality.
