Jamie O’Hara believes playing out from the back “should be banned” at Tottenham after the 1-0 loss against Bournemouth.

The Lilywhites lost further ground in the race for the top four as a 17th-minute strike courtesy of Dean Huijsen was enough to secure the three points for Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday [5 December].

However, former Spurs player O’Hara made note of the visitor’s defence in a rant on X [5 December] as he urged Ange Postecoglou to stop playing out from the back after the humiliating defeat on the South Coast.

He said: “Our playing out from the back should be banned it’s a joke.”

Furthermore, the defensive crisis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to worsen as Ben Davies was forcibly removed in the 62nd-minute for a suspected hamstring injury.

With high-flying Chelsea up next at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday [8 December], the tenth-placed side could slip as low as thirteenth place with another loss in typical Spurs fashion.
