Everton will have to go the extra mile to ensure Watford attacker Yaser Asprilla adapts to the Premier League, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he would have a strength and conditioning plan and will be given bounce minutes to help him adapt.
This comes after the Sunday People reported on 7 July that the Toffees want to sign the 20-year-old Colombia international. and the Athletic claim he will cost £25million this month.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Asprilla:
“He has a good fitness record but one must remember he’ll be arriving from the Championship.
“Physically, keys will be a methodical strength and conditioning plan, bounce minutes to acclimate to Premier League intensity and focusing on excellent habits nutritionally, sleep hygiene, and stress mitigation.
“Mentally, getting him settled and adapting to a new environment will be critical and it may be wise to not rush him by expecting him to play the 90 minutes week in and week out.”
Yaser Asprilla will be a good signing for Everton
Asprilla has contributed 13 goals and assists in 44 appearances last season, showcasing his ability to make an impact.
His young age suggests he has room to develop further under the right guidance.
The Toffees, in need of quality wide players, could secure Asprilla at a reasonable cost given his contract situation.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are now looking to complete another transfer as a £10m+ development has emerged.
