Academy starlet makes full debut, attacker axed - Confirmed Rangers XI v Hearts

Philippe Clement has made two changes to his Rangers starting lineup for the final SPFL game of the season against Hearts.

Left-back Robbie Fraser has been handed his full debut ahead of Ridvan Yilmaz at left-back, with Leon King, Ben Davies and James Tavernier making up the rest of the defence.

Nicolas Raskin and Mohammed Diomande continue in midfield with John Lundstram suspended, while Todd Cantwell continues as the number ten.

In attack Scott Wright gets the nod ahead of Fabio Silva after his two goals in midweek against Dundee off the bench, while Cyriel Dessers leads the line and Ross McCausland continues on the right.

Dujon Sterling, Ryan Jack and Abdallah Sima all return from injury and are named on the bench also.

Rangers players have a chance to earn cup final spot v Celtic

The end of the season is upon us and it’s been a real rollercoaster of a campaign, but there are definite signs of progress under Clement.

The manager has identified the need for big changes with the squad ahead of the new season, and has instilled a winning mentality that he wants to carry into all the players and the cup final next week.

Having already won a trophy but then missed out on the league, the teams will be battling it out for a double but also to end the season on a high rather than going into the summer full of misery after defeat at Hampden Park to their fiercest rival.

With plenty of changes and the injury situation at the club right now there are places up for grabs for the starting team at Hampden, and this is the opportunity for players to step up and claim them.

Clement has always rewarded performances over this season and it will surely be no different here, so the players should be ready to step up and prove themselves.

In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has taken another swing at Todd Cantwell after what he did v Dundee.
