Alan Myers issues verdict on Farhad Moshiri asking price to sell Everton

Farhad Moshiri is unlikely to have an asking price in mind as he looks to sell his stake in Everton, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports news editor took to X on 19 July to answer the question about the takeover with the Friedkin Group no longer looking to buy the Toffees.

Moshiri had put the club for sale back in 2023 and despite efforts from Dan Friedkin, 777 Partners and others, there is no concrete development.

Myers replied: “I don’t think he has an asking price tbh.”

Andy Bell and George Downing, two boyhood Evertonians know what the club means to the fans and have been following the club for decades.

Moreover, their proposal to safeguard the club’s future, including a plan to refinance and write down existing debts, shows a strategic approach to financial management.

Their potential involvement could bring stability and a long-term vision, essential for the Toffees’ success in the Premier League.

Whether or not they return to the table, remains to be seen but Moshiri has certainly made things complicated for plenty of stakeholders.

The day he leaves the club for good would be a cause for celebration for the fanbase who have grown sick of him in charge.
