Alan Myers shares verdict on potential double new transfer at Everton

Alan Myers has insisted that a double Everton transfer push for Hull City duo Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene is unlikely.

The journalist reported on X that he can no longer see the deals happening despite being linked with the pair for the majority of the window.

This is despite the Daily Mail reporting [July 7] that Everton has agreed on a deal for Philogene, who has indicated a willingness to join Sean Dyche.

What comes next for Everton?

As fans will know all too well, Everton are currently awaiting the Dan Friedkin takeover to be officially completed.

The American businessman is well on the way to getting the deal completed and has even signed an exclusivity agreement with Farhad Moshiri.

However, until the takeover is fully completed, it feels like few deals will be able to go through as Moshiri will likely not want to put too much more money into the club before his departure.

Moves for Jack Harrison and Iliman Ndiaye have already been announced but there’s no doubt that Dyche needs more bodies within his camp.

The Merseyside club finished in 15th place last season, six points adrift of 14th place.

Although their eight-point deduction had some part to play in their league position, across the season the team weren’t at their best.

Moves may not occur just yet but it would be a surprise to not see any further additions made as the window goes on.

In other Everton news, the Toffees may have found their Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement should the striker depart this summer.
