Arsenal fans wowed as club work on signing 'Martinelli upgrade'

Arsenal supporters have demanded that the club sign “fantastic” Leroy Sane next summer, seeing him as an improvement on their current options.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that the Gunners are working on a deal to sign the 28-year-old once his Bayern Munich contract runs out at the end of this season.

The winger will be available to begin talks with foreign clubs from January onwards and could sign a pre-contract agreement with the Premier League giants.

Football Insider revealed that the Gunners had almost signed the Germany international last summer, but the deal fell through, and the club ended up signing Raheem Sterling on loan.

Mikel Arteta’s side are not the only Premier League team interested in his services, as Football Insider confirmed that Newcastle United are also keen to sign Sane.

Arsenal are looking to create strength in depth for next season to relieve some of the strain off Bukayo Saka, who has been tasked with starting the bulk of their games due to a lack of cover.

Arsenal fans believe that Leroy Sane is ‘washed’

Sane has scored two goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season but has typically been used as a substitute for Vincent Kompany’s side.

The winger does have extensive experience in the Premier League from his time at Man City, having scored 25 goals and provided 29 assists in 90 games in the English top flight.

Arsenal fans are already excited about the prospect of signing Sane, who fans believe would be an improvement on Sterling.
