Arsenal sources: Significant Gabriel Jesus update tonight

Arsenal are braced for Gabriel Jesus bids but are not looking to sell him this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the Brazilian is set to stay at Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 27-year-old’s current deal has three years left , which is why the Premier League giants aren’t expected to sell him.

That is despite reports that Al-Ahli are interested in signing the Brazilian this summer.

While Jesus’ injury record has been problematic, he is said to be content at Arsenal currently.

The striker could wind up being frustrated if Kai Havertz starts ahead of him in the number nine position this summer though, which he might want to push.

Regardless of Arsenal’s stance on Jesus, sources say he fists the profile that Saudi Pro League clubs seek.

Jesus might be set to be part of the Gunners squad this season, but the club are expected to have their resolve tested.

As a former Man City player and a Brazil international, Jesus has the name value that Saudi Pro League clubs want to buy.

This could lead to Arsenal having to fend off some offers for Jesus if they do want to keep hold of him.

Jesus has made 69 appearances for the Gunners since he joined the club in 2022, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.

However, he was only able to make 27 Premier League appearances last season following an injury-plagued campaign.
