Aston Villa fans savage Amadou Onana after 'biblical stinker' vs Everton

Aston Villa fans have been left fuming with Amadou Onana after his performance against Everton.

Unai Emery’s men came from two goals behind against the Merseyside club to win 3-2 at Villa Park, but Onana ended up being pulled during the break.

The 23-year-old midfielder was playing against his former club for the first time since he joined Villa during the summer transfer window.

However, it ended up being a game to forget for the Belgium international due to the role he played in Everton’s first goal.

Onana was dispossessed in the middle of the park by Dwight McNeil, who then carried the ball before scoring.

The Villa midfielder remained on the floor in a bid to gain a freekick from the situation, but nothing came of it.

Aston Villa fans were disappointed with Amadou Onana

Villa fans felt Onana struggled generally outside of his involvement in the goal, which Unai Emery appeared to agree with.

Emery hooked Onana at halftime to bring on Ross Barkley, which supporters were happy with after what many felt was his “worst performance” in a Villa shirt.
