Authorities closely monitor situation as Rangers loan offer on table for new signing - report

Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan’s situation is being monitored by the Spanish Footballers’ Association and La Liga amid links to Rangers, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 18 July that people close to the 30-year-old believe he wants to stay and fight for his future in Sevilla even though director of football Victor Orta said that he’s not part of their plans.

Gers made a loan offer to secure the Spanish midfielder’s services already but the terms of the wage distribution were not acceptable to Sevilla.

His situation is being looked at by the two authorities as clubs are to pay the price if they leave players out of their squads via illegal practices.

Joan Jordan does not appear overly keen to join Rangers

Jordan’s reluctance to move to Ibrox appears rooted in his desire to remain at Sevilla and prove his worth, despite the club’s stance that he is surplus to requirements.

The Spanish midfielder, who has been told he is not part of Sevilla’s plans for the upcoming season, seems determined to fight for his place in the team.

To convince Jordan to join Rangers, the Scottish club could consider offering a more financially favourable loan deal to Sevilla, ensuring that a significant portion of Jordan’s wages is covered.

Additionally, Gers could provide the 30-year-old with assurances of regular playing time and a key role in the team, which might appeal to the midfielder’s desire to prove himself.

Moreover, the Ibrox outfit could leverage their recent success and ambitions for the future to persuade Jordan.

Highlighting their qualification for the Champions League and the opportunity to compete at the highest level of European football could be a compelling factor for him to leave his comfort zone.

In other Rangers news, a £3.5m-rated player linked with a move to Ibrox has recently gone on strike and appears set for a transfer.
