Bardell urges Rangers to explore 'other priorities' as fee agreed for another transfer

Dan Bardell has suggested that Rangers have more pressing positions to improve before they look to sign Yusuf Kabadayi from Bayern Munich.

The Gers are closing in on a deal to sign the German, agreeing a fee up to £1.5million to bring him to Ibrox this summer [The 4th Official].

Philippe Clement is said to be eager to conclude a deal and make Kabadayi his side’s fourth permanent signing ahead of the window opening.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes that Rangers have more problem areas they should focus on rather than rushing to sign him.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Bardell said: “They probably have other priorities in the squad at the moment so maybe Philippe Clement wants to bring him in.

“He might be a club signing but there will be a reason for the signing. I would say that Rangers have got other positions to prioritise at the moment that need filling more urgently.“

There is no doubt that the Gers are going to have to make plenty of signings this summer if they want to compete with Celtic next season.

With loan players departing alongside those out of contract, there has already been a mass exodus at Ibrox ahead of the window opening.

All those leaving have to be replaced and replaced with equal or better players after a disappointing end to the campaign.

Kabadayi is a versatile option who can play in various roles which could make him a useful option for Clement at Ibrox next season.

It is good to see Rangers moving so quickly with additions especially given how long it may take for them to gel over pre-season.
