Tottenham plan to exercise the one-year contract extension option in Ben Davies’ deal, according to The Athletic.
The 31-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of the season, but Spurs do not intend to part ways with him yet.
Davies is the longest-serving player in Ange Postecoglou’s side, having joined the club from Swansea in 2014, and will take his stay in North London to 12 years after the extension.

The Wales international is by no means a regular starter at Tottenham any more, with four of his six starts this season coming in the UEFA Europa League.
However, the centre-back has shown that he is more than capable of stepping up for the team if needed.
With Cristian Romero sidelined with a toe injury [Gaston Edul], Davies started alongside Radu Dragusin against Manchester City on Sunday [24 November] and went on to help Tottenham win 4-0, earning praise from Ally McCoist in the process.
Romero is expected to return to action soon, but Postecoglou will appreciate having Davies, who is also comfortable deputising Destiny Udogie at left-back, in his squad.
At 31, Davies will be aware that he is going to have his playing time restricted at Spurs. However, Postecoglou does not intend to push him to the fringes of the squad, letting him start in each of the four Europa League games so far.
Son Heung-min is another player who has an expiring contract, but that is also expected to be sorted soon with a one-year extension set to be triggered [Florian Plettenberg].
