'Can guarantee that as of today': Fabrizio Romano shares the latest on Marc Guehi transfer situation

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all been linked with England international Marc Guehi in recent weeks.

The Gunners, the Lilywhites and the Reds all have reason to bolster their ranks over the coming weeks as they look to kick on from last season.

Arsenal and Liverpool will want to win the Premier League title next term after contesting a superb title race in 2023/24.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will be aiming to secure a top-four finish after falling just short in the final weeks of last season.

All four have been linked with Guehi, who has been shining for Crystal Palace and has helped England reach the Euro 2024 final.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on the Guehi transfer situation amid links with Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.

Romano says Guehi situation is currently “calm” but hints at developments later in window

The transfer insider, writing on CaughtOffside, says “many clubs have been scouting” Guehi this season and says his future will be discussed later in the window.

Romano also spoke of Liverpool’s prior interest in the Eagles ace, but he stressed that, as things stand, it’s a “calm situation”.

“Marc Guehi has been excellent for England during the Euros,” began Romano.

“And many clubs have been scouting him this season, but at the moment nothing is concrete yet.

“For example, around March Liverpool asked about his situation but didn’t follow up with proposals or negotiations.

“I can guarantee that as of today, it remains a calm situation to be discussed later in the window.”

Guehi will hope to return to England having made history with England

Guehi is part of the England squad that has reached their first ever major tournament final on foreign soil.

The 23-year-old has played every minute of every game for the Three Lions at Euro 2024, except for the Switzerland quarter-final in which he was suspended.

Guehi and his compatriots are once again on the brink of glory, and they’ll hope to go one better than in 2021, when they were just a penalty shoot-out away from a first major trophy since 1966.

Whatever happens, he will then return to England with pressing business in terms of his career, and surely he will want to strike while the proverbial iron is hot with regards to a big move.
