Rapid Bucharest may have softened their stance on allowing Albion Rrahmani to leave amid interest from Rangers, according to the Daily Record.

The Scottish newspaper reported via its online edition on 28 June that with the Romanian club signing Slovakian Under-21 forward Timotej Jambor from MSK Zilina for £600,000, their stance on the Kosovo international may have softened.

This came after Neil Lennon, the Rapid manager, iterated that he planned on keeping the 23-year-old at the club, amid interest from Ibrox.

Ideal time for Rangers to convince Albion Rrahmani to agree personal terms

Gers should seize the opportunity to convince Rrahmani to agree personal terms following Rapid Bucharest’s signing of Jambor.

The arrival of the Slovakian suggests that Rapid may be preparing for Rrahmani’s departure, softening their stance on the 23-year-old’s potential exit.

Philippe Clement’s side have been heavily linked with Rrahmani and the forward’s impressive record of 19 goals in his debut season for Rapid has attracted interest from across Europe.

With Rapid seemingly open to negotiations, the Ibrox outfit must act swiftly to secure Rrahmani’s signature and bolster their attacking options.

The Kosovan’s versatility and goalscoring ability would greatly enhance their frontline, making him an ideal addition to Clement’s squad.

The club must present a compelling offer and a clear vision for Rrahmani’s development at Ibrox to persuade him to agree personal terms.

In other Rangers news, the club have received offers from a number of English clubs for an in-demand player who’s made his decision about his future at Ibrox.
