Dan Bardell shares Tottenham worry after what he saw Ange Postecoglou do on touchline

Dan Bardell has questioned Tottenham and their mentality after their second-half performance against Leicester City.

Spurs went 1-0 up through Pedro Porro before the interval which was nothing more than was deserved for a positive half.

After the break, the home side came out and performed well as they equalised through Jamie Vardy and arguably could have scored more.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes the draw was a continuation from last season and has questioned the squad’s mentality.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Bardell said: “It was a stereotypical game of two halves.

“In the first half, Tottenham looked like they could have run riot but they didn’t take their chances and went in at half time only one up.

“Then they started the second half and Leicester scored with their first real chance and then they looked like scoring again.

“The game felt like a direct follow on from last season. Even Postecoglou’s body language at the end after Richarlison missed that chance.

“There is always a question of the mentality of Spurs which was shown once they conceded that goal.“

Tottenham mentality questioned after Leicester City draw

Last campaign ended in disappointing circumstances as Aston Villa secured Champions League qualification ahead of Spurs.

Moving into the new season, the hope is that Postecoglou’s men can go one step further and claim a spot in the top four.

This attempt hasn’t started as anyone wanted having dropped two points to newly promoted Leicester City despite dominating the opening exchanges.

As the Premier League moves forward, Tottenham will have to be more clinical and make their chances count if they want to win games on a regular basis.

Dominic Solanke should have a positive impact on the side and the ability to score goals but that is yet to be seen.
