Doctor: 5x Bundesliga winner will have to alter training routines as Everton hold transfer talks

Former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels will need to alter his training routines ahead of a move to Everton, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that despite his age, the centre-back’s fitness record has been impressive over the past two seasons.

This comes after HITC reported on 17 June that the Toffees have held talks with the agents of the 35-year-old Germany international over a free transfer this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Hummels:

His injury record is pretty good overall and particularly over the past two seasons which bodes quite well for him.

He seems like an older player who has gotten more physically robust rather than less and we do have multiple examples of older centre-backs who are committed to their fitness and habits and have been able to transition to the Premier League effectively.

He will need to understand the differences in physical demands and alter his training accordingly.

Mats Hummels will bring leadership to this Everton side should he sign

The 35-year-old brings a wealth of experience, having played at the highest level for both club and country and winning five Bundesliga titles.

His leadership qualities and ability to organise the defence could be invaluable for Everton, especially if they lose key players like Jarrad Branthwaite.

Furthermore, his experience in the Champions League and World Cups can help Everton in their ambitions to compete at the highest level.

Sean Dyche will want new signings at Everton this summer.

Despite his age, Hummels’ quality on the ball and defensive prowess make him a valuable asset for any team.

In other Everton news, the Toffees have now issued contact with their Premier League rivals to sign a midfielder who recently won the Champions League.
