Doctor issues green signal to Tottenham to sign striker with 'Impressive' fitness record

Dusan Vlahovic’s fitness record at Juventus should not cause any concerns for Tottenham if they are to sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that despite a back inflammation last season, he recovered quickly and his fitness record has been impressive.

This comes after Football London reported on 25 June that Spurs have previously looked at signing the Serbia striker.

Discussing the state of play with Vlahovic exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He had an inflammation to his spine and a back injury last season.

“Any inflammation can recur and avoiding it depends on what caused it in the first place.

“Hard to say what can be done to stop it without having specifics about the injury but it is nothing that should deter Spurs from signing him as his overall fitness record is impressive.“

Spurs should sign Vlahovic this summer as he’s a talented striker with a proven track record in Serie A.

The Serbia international is a physical presence in the box, good in the air and has a knack for scoring goals at crucial stages in games.

With Richarlison’s future uncertain [The Standard, 30 May], Vlahovic could be the ideal striker to bring in as the Lilywhites have not yet added a natural replacement for Harry Kane.
