Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min is currently out with a Grade 2 thigh injury and remains a doubt for the Aston Villa clash, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he may require a late fitness test in order to be cleared for the game, having missed the Manchester City clash on 30 October.
Spurs take on Villa on 3 November at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Discussing the state of play with Son exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“Based on some of the tepid language, this seems to be a Grade 2 out of 4 thigh strain.
“When he does return to training, it will likely be partial training where he’s involved in more of the controlled drills.
“Hard to say if he’s a major doubt for the weekend game but he’s certainly a doubt and he may require a late fitness test.“
Son has been in prolific form for Tottenham this season
The 32-year-old appears to be showing no signs of slowing down as he’s been prolific in the final third for Spurs.
In six league games, Son has scored three goals and provided two assists – being a game changer for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Hopefully, he is at 100 per cent for the game against Villa and can fire his side to victory in that one.
