Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz is likely to be a few weeks away before being ready to play the full 90 minutes in games after his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he’ll be only ready to play the full match once he’s got enough game time in bounce games where he comes off the bench.
The Turkey international has been out of action since August and is severely lacking match fitness.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He’ll be ready to play 90 minutes when he is able to complete full training and bounce matches with the appropriate response.
“Since he has been out since August, I imagine his runway will be a little longer and more gradual.
“It may take a few more weeks before he’ll be ready to last the full 90 minutes.“
Ridvan Yilmaz recently made a return to Rangers training
Gers received a boost with regard to Yilmaz’s fitness as he returned to training at the end of October.
Before the FCSB Europa League clash, Glasgow Times reported on 23 October that the Turkey international was welcomed back at Auchenhowie for the first time since August.
Philippe Clement is fighting for his job and would welcome Yilmaz back amid issues at left-back.
In other Rangers news, Tom English has issued an update on James Bisgrove’s replacement amid the chaos behind the scenes at Ibrox.
