Doctor View: Rangers likely to move summer signing in and out of playing XI to avoid injury

Rangers may chop Vaclav Cerny in and out of the starting eleven in order to get him accustomed to regular first-team football, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert assessed the setback he suffered back in 2021 which was a knee issue that kept him out for the rest of the season.

He even analysed his game time last season and has explained what the Ibrox outfit are likely to do with their new summer signing.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“I reckon this was likely a Grade 3 injury based on the time spent out.

The procedure would’ve depended on the injury specifics such as the full extent of what was damaged.

“With his lack of minutes last season, expecting him to play week in and week out without a gradual ramp up will be too much to ask but he can certainly get there with the right runway and management.

“Expect him to be in and out of the eleven for the first month or so just to get him up to speed.”

Vaclav Cerny can be a game changer for Rangers

Cerny could be a game-changer for Gers due to his experience and ability in the final third.

As a Czech international with experience in top European leagues, the 26-year-old brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

His ability to play on the right, coupled with his left-footedness, allows him to cut inside and create scoring opportunities and Philippe Clement should be able to bring out the best in him.

In other Rangers news, the club are locked in a transfer battle as they aim to bring an English striker to Ibrox on a free transfer.
