Arsenal face Chelsea this weekend in what is almost a must-win game for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Gunners are now three without a win in the Premier League, and if they don’t return to form here, they’re going to struggle to get back into the title race.
Arsenal have been here before in terms of having a must-win game against Chelsea.
Indeed, back in December 2020, Arsenal headed faced Chelsea in a play a game that, perhaps, would’ve decided Mikel Arteta’s fate at Arsenal as he came under increasing pressure.
Step forward, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka.
Smith Rowe and Saka put on standout displays in that game, and, all of a sudden Arsenal seemed to enter a new era.
Now, Arsenal are in a familiar position as they head to Stamford Bridge in desperate need of a win, and they need someone to step up again.
Chris Sutton couldn’t pick a winner when he was predicting this game, but speaking on his TikTok channel, Troy Deeney has made a bold prediction for this match.

Troy Deeney predicts Arsenal vs Chelsea
Deeney shared his verdict on how this game will pan out.
Not only does Deeney think Arsenal will beat Chelsea, he’s claimed that this will be a dominating performance, tipping the Gunners to win 3-1.
“No Declan Rice, but Odegaard is back which is a massive change. I still think Arsenal are the better team,” Deeney said.
“Maybe no Cole Palmer as well, so I will say, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Arsenal get back to winning ways with a dominant performance, Arsenal will win 3-1.”
Can Arsenal win the Premier League?
Arsenal have lost some serious ground in the title race in recent weeks, but this is far from over.
Indeed, Arsenal are still very much in the title hunt, and a win here would put the Gunners back on track.
Gary Neville still believes that Arsenal can win the league, but recent results suggest that this will be difficult.
Ultimately, Arsenal’s fate is out of their hands after a slow start to the season, but, as Mikel Arteta’s side have shown in recent years, they can get close to that 90-point barrier if they manage to rediscover their best form.
Arsenal aren’t in the best of form at the moment, but, as we’ve seen before, against a team like Chelsea can be the perfect springboard to spark a revival.
