The Friedkin Group could fully agree on an Everton takeover within days, according to Giulia Bould.
The BBC journalist reported via X on 23 September that after speaking to Bloomberg, who shared that The Friedkin Group were back in the equation, a deal could be completed sooner than many think.
Bould admitted that any investment will depend on what happens in talks with Farhad Moshiri.
Everton takeover finally close at Goodison Park
Despite John Textor trying to fast-track the sale of his Crystal Palace shares [Daily Mail, 19 September] to try and get a deal done with Moshiri just last week, it seems as if he might be pipped to the post by Dan Friedkin.
The American businessman pulled out of a deal earlier in the year but now seems to have thrown his hat back into the ring emphatically.
While both parties could be decent buyers compared to Moshiri, it feels as if Everton would be safer with a more standard model of Friedkin, compared to Textor.
Moshiri will be delighted to have two potential buyers readying themselves to take over the club after what feels like a lifetime of him trying to offload his shares.
Of course, nothing is yet set in stone so things could change but for now, things are starting to look a little bit brighter for Everton.
