Sean Dyche risks the sack if Everton fail to beat West Ham United on Saturday, according to talkSPORT.
The news outlet reported on Thursday [7 November], that the underfire boss is the subject of intense scrutiny from prospective owner Dan Friedkin.
It is believed that Dyche must convince The Friedkin Group he can provide an expansive brand of football to the Blues. He must do so at the London Stadium on Saturday [9 November] and beat West Ham to possibly secure his future, for at least another week.
Sean Dyche is fighting for his life at Everton
While Dyche is considered to be under no immediate pressure heading into the match on the weekend, the stance could change drastically with Everton lingering above the relegation zone once again.
Only four points separate the Toffees from eighteenth-placed Ipswich Town – should Dyche fail to beat West Ham and Kieran McKenna pulls off a shock result against Tottenham, the gap could reduce to a single point heading into the November international break.
Despite a five-match unbeaten run heading into the 1-0 loss against Southampton, three of those matches were drawn and ultimately did little to push the side into midtable security and ease the mounting pressure on the 53-year-old at Goodison Park.
The Friedkin Group has already drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements including former Porto manager Sergio Conceicao, the Portuguese boss is viewed as a progressive appointment more in line with their vision of the club [talkSPORT].
Regardless of what lies ahead, Dyche must focus on seeing out the remainder of the season at the helm and leaving the Blues in a healthy position in the Premier League should he be sent packing in the summer.
West Ham is another club in turmoil and the match at the London Stadium will undoubtedly bring fireworks as both managers are fighting for their jobs. Whoever comes out on top is expected to continue at their counterpart’s expense.
