Manchester United ready bid for Jarrad Branthwaite as Everton name price

Manchester United are readying their first bid to sign Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported via its website [13 June] that with the Toffees setting a £70million price tag on their prized defender, United are preparing for negotiations over a potential signing.

Everton forward Neal Maupay told his future is over at Goodison Park

Darren Bent has told Neal Maupay that his Everton future is “over” after returning from a season-long loan at Brentford.

The Frenchman has struggled during his time at Goodison Park but seemed to thrive at the Gtech Community Stadium, netting eight times in 31 appearances in all competitions.

Maupay recently spoke about his love for the Bees, having returned to the Toffees following the end of his loan spell, and some believe this could be his final few weeks as an Everton player.

Speaking via talkSPORT, Bent said: “It almost feels like it didn’t work for him at Everton. He looks like he is comfortable at Brentford. I am sure he would like to stay there.

“But his goal returns haven’t been great. He had a little spell last season when he was scoring goals, but I think his time on Merseyside is over.”

Everton want to seal Tammy Abraham transfer as trust is lost at Roma

It is said that there is “no longer great confidence” in the 26-year-old from his current club, and the Toffees may pounce with Roma thought to be looking for around £20-25m.
