Exclusive: Clubs make approaches to sign Millwall star

Millwall are attracting attention from multiple EFL clubs for striker Tom Bradshaw, sources have told Football Insider.

Bradshaw is approaching the final year of his current deal at The Den, with numerous clubs across both the Championship and League One registering their interest in signing him.

Millwall are understood to have already received enquiries about the Welsh international this summer, with rivals believing they can secure his services for a cut-price fee given his contract status.

At present, manager Neil Harris is working with a small squad in pre-season and only currently has two senior strikers at his disposal – Bradshaw and Kevin Nisbet, who has two years to run on his contract plus a club option of a further season.

Harris is keen to welcome a clutch of new arrivals to South-East London, and Football Insider have revealed [27 June] that Millwall have lodged a bid for last season’s League Two top scorer Macaulay Langstaff from Notts County.

Millwall could lose Bradshaw this summer

With Bradshaw’s contract at a precarious stage and several clubs enquiring about the 31-year-old, it is very feasible that Millwall could lose their trusted marksman this summer.

The Lions will be keen to receive a fee, with uncertainty at present whether Bradshaw is willing to extend his deal – he had always made it clear he and his family were settled in the area which initially forced his move from Barnsley in 2018.

Whilst Millwall do need to add to their pool of forward options, the bid for Langstaff may signal that the club are planning for life after Bradshaw, who is two matches away from a landmark 200 appearances in navy blue.

The uncertainty over Bradshaw’s future is nothing new – the forward played enough games last season to trigger an extension to 2025 in his deal back in April, saving Millwall the issue of losing him as a free agent [London News Online, 18 April].

The striker has played almost 500 career matches, scoring 124 goals.

In other news, Millwall are among the Championship clubs interested in Cameron Humphreys.
