Exclusive: How many games West Ham insiders are now expecting Mohammed Kudus to be banned for

West Ham United and Mohammed Kudus are awaiting the Football Association’s decision regarding his red card received during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur in October.

Kudus was sent off in the 4-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for clashing with Spurs defender Micky van de Ven and then pushing both the Dutchman and midfielder Pape Matar Sarr in the face.

Now, TBR Football understands that the West Ham forward is set to serve a further ban for his dismissal against the North Londoners.

Kudus was handed a three-game ban after the red card for violent conduct against Tottenham.

However, Kudus is facing an extra ban and West Ham have sources have told TBR Football that they are expecting an extra two games to be added – but it could be three.

The Football Association are due to confirm the extra ban early next week.

Why is Kudus facing an additional ban?

Kudus has been accused of “allegedly acting in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence he was sent off for”.

He was initially given a yellow card for pushing Van de Ven, but VAR overruled it to be a red card.

Kudus was then hit with another charge by the FA for swiping at Sarr’s face, and West Ham are now awaiting the governing body’s decision.

What games would Kudus miss?

As it stands, Kudus missed the Manchester United game and will also be unavailable for the games against Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Should the West Ham man get a further three-game suspension, he would miss the games against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Leicester City.

Kudus would not be eligible to return until the home game against Wolves on 9 December.
