Ange Postecoglou could axe Timo Werner in eight changes when Tottenham play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Sunday (27 October).

Tottenham have won seven of their last eight matches in all competitions. Therefore, confidence will be high among the Spurs players when they travel to South London.

Postecoglou made nine changes for Spurs’ 1-0 UEFA Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (24 October).

However, most of the players who came in for that match will likely drop back to the bench at Selhurst Park.

Fraser Forster was hailed for his display against AZ Alkmaar, as the 36-year-old made three saves, completed 89 per cent of his passes and kept a clean sheet (Sofascore). However, Guglielmo Vicario will expect to return to the starting lineup.

Destiny Udogie will likely keep his place at left-back after winning six of his seven ground duels and succeeding with 100 per cent of his dribbles on Thursday.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will likely return to the team, with Ben Davies and Radu Drăgușin set to drop back to the bench.

Archie Gray completed 97 per cent of his passes and won two of his three ground duels playing at right-back against AZ Alkmaar. However, he will most likely make way for Pedro Porro.

Dejan Kulusevski will expect to return in place of fellow Sweden international Lucas Bergvall. The 18-year-old played well on Thursday, completing 91 per cent of his passes, creating one big chance and winning the penalty which was scored by Richarlison, although he did leave the pitch with an injury concern.

Yves Bissouma will likely replace Rodrigo Bentancur having started and scored last time out in the Premier League, while James Maddison will expect to keep his place after playing two key passes and succeeding with four of his seven attempted dribbles against AZ Alkmaar.

With Son Heung-min unlikely to feature against the Eagles (via Spurs’ official website, 25 October), Mikey Moore should be handed his first Premier League start after dazzling in Europe, with the 17-year-old hailed for his display.

Timo Werner should be the winger to make way for Brennan Johnson after he was hooked at half-time against AZ Alkmaar having succeded with zero per cent of his dribble attempts and missing one big chance.
