Exclusive: Man United to land £320m+ annual windfall after world-record commercial deal agreed

Manchester United are set to generate as much as £322million in commercial revenue next season, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League giants have unveiled their new kit with the Snapdragon logo after signing a three-year deal with Qualcomm Technologies worth £60million a year.

Sources say the deal is the largest of its kind in world football, with Man United holding a two-year extension option as part of the agreement with the US firm.

The £60m-a-year deal is believed to be around a £12-15million increase annually on their previous deal with TeamViewer.

The German software company was set to be Man United’s front-of-shirt sponsor until 2026, but the two parties struck an agreement to terminate the deal early.

Man United commercial revenue to soar after Snapdragon deal

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been looking to boost Man United’s revenues since securing his 27.7 per cent stake at Old Trafford in February this year.

The Premier League club’s commercial revenue reached a new high of £302.9million in 2022-23, having risen by £45.1million on the previous year.

Sources have told Football Insider the record is likely to be shattered again next year as Man United’s commercial revenue could reach around £322million.

The Snapdragon deal will be included in the club’s accounting period for 2024-25 after the new kit was officially launched on 1 July.

It comes as Ratcliffe is set to oversee his first summer transfer window and full season in charge of the footballing operations at Old Trafford, while Dan Ashworth has received the go-ahead to start his role as the club’s new sporting director.

Football Insider revealed last month Man United are prepared to spend up to £140million this summer after deciding to stick with Erik ten Hag next season.
