Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool is one of the hot topics at the club right now as fans sweat on if their homegrown star signs a new deal or not.
Along with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, Alexander-Arnold is one of three key Reds who are out of contract in 2025.
As yet, nothing has been signed but as usual, Liverpool – from the outside looking in – remain calm.
And according to TBR Football sources, there could some good news not too far away when it comes to Alexander-Arnold.
What sources are saying about Liverpool and Trent Alexander-Arnold
Sources have told TBR Football that Trent Alexander-Arnold has not held talks with any club other than Liverpool.
Liverpool are working hard to tie down Alexander-Arnold to a new deal and they remain ‘confident’ that he will sign a new deal that has been discussed.
They are ready to make Alexander-Arnold one of their highest paid players and put him in the same bracket as Mo Salah on close to £300,000-a-week.
The 24-year-old Liverpudlian is considering his options which would allow him, in theory to walk away, from Anfield for nothing this summer.
But despite links to other clubs – sources have told TBR Football that no talks have taken place with anyone other than Liverpool.
Top European clubs keen on Alexander-Arnold
Spanish champions Real Madrid have an interest in Alexander-Arnold, but we understand that is as far as it has gone as they do have other options they like at right-back – including Sevilla’s Juanlu and former Real man Achraf Hakimi. They also believe club legend Dani Carvajal could continue playing for another three seasons.
We can confirm that Paris Saint-Germain are paying attention to Alexander-Arnold’s situation, as they are with Salah. German giants Bayern Munich are also admirers of Alexander-Arnold.
However, Liverpool believe that their offer will see Alexander-Arnold commit to them in the coming weeks.
Liverpool want the new deal agreed before Christmas.
