Fabrizio Romano expects new Rangers transfer developments within hours ahead of the August 30 deadline quickly approaching.
Rangers have already added a plethora of names to their ranks, with Philippe Clement beginning yet another rebuild at Ibrox.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano shared an update on whether or not Rangers will add further players to their squad before 30 August.
“I think it’s going to be busy over there, to be honest, if in terms of names, we have to be bit patient. So I think it will be clear in the next hours.
“So we will see. But for sure, they will be active, and I expect Rangers also to be absolutely in the market in the final days.”
Rangers need to add more players to their squad
Although as aforementioned Rangers have already added several players to their team, it feels as if there is still plenty of room for improvement in Clement’s squad.
The Gers haven’t got off to the best of starts this term after being knocked out of the Champions League and finding themselves in third place.
New arrival Connor Barron has arguably been the most impressive of signings at the club with the midfielder slotting right into the first-team from the opening game of the season.
Whilst players need to be sold before Clement can make any concrete moves in the market, with Todd Cantwell and Scott Wright both edging closer to an Ibrox exit [The Athletic, 29 August], there is bound to be some movement soon.
In fact, the Glasgow-based outfit has even been linked with a late move for Josip Brekalo [TuttoMercatoWeb, 29 August] as a replacement for Cantwell which shows where the club is currently at in terms of recruitment.
No names are set in stone as yet but, especially after this update from Romano, there is likely to be plenty of movement before the deadline on Friday.
In other Rangers news, Norwich City have submitted a bid for this Ibrox star.
