Finance Expert: Tottenham make transfer statement in new £100m verdict before August 30

Dan Plumley has insisted that Tottenham have made a statement of intent with their signings in the summer transfer window.

The football finance expert admitted that the £100million spent on Archie Gray and Dominic Solanke, the latter a club-record deal [Duncan Castles], will push them forward.

It is said that Daniel Levy is never held to ransom on huge transfer fees, being the ultimate negotiator, but he has still splashed the cash for Ange Postecoglou.

“It’s a statement of intent,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“There is the thick end of £100million there in two players and certainly with Archie Gray, he’s definitely one for the future and Dominic Solanke is 26, so there’s a good few years in that player as well.

“If those signings come off and Solanke becomes the player that a few people think he might be then that will be really good business in a few months.

“It’s that kind of thing with Tottenham, we’ve said throughout the years, they are in a position to buy if they want to, but we know they have never been held to ransom on huge transfer fees, that has been Daniel Levy’s style and he is the ultimate hard negotiator.

“It’s a statement of intent and of course, they will be looking to push forward on the pitch now this season.”
