Finance Expert: Tottenham player likely to be fined after footage emerged

Dan Plumley has insisted that Tottenham are likely to fine Yves Bissouma after he was suspended for the Premier League clash against Leicester.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed the suspension after footage appeared to show the midfielder inhaling laughing gas [Sky Sports], something Bryan King labelled “absolutely ridiculous”.

The finance expert admitted that a fine is like incoming and then the incident can be put to bed and everyone can move in the same direction.

“I think that is likely,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“In this day and age, of course, players are going to make mistakes, but you’ve got to be really careful with your behaviour on and off the field.

“In a heightened world with social media and everything like that and how the game has revolved professionally, it’s a daft one and the player will know that.

“He has obviously been suspended and probably a fine incoming, you would then hope that is put to bed and everyone moves on.”

Tottenham to fine Yves Bissouma?

Postecoglou was not happy and that is totally understandable with limited options in midfield.

Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall were thrown in for their debuts in the 1-1 draw at Leicester, and an experienced head in there could have been the difference between one and three points.

There is still the possibility that Bissouma could even leave the club before August 30, with John Wenham suggesting he has to be sold if he doesn’t sign fresh contract terms.

His next steps will be very interesting.
