John Wenham is excited for 17-year-old defender Luka Vušković to join Tottenham next summer.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has been raving about the “freakishly good” centre-back, who is currently on loan with Westerlo in Belgium.
Spurs signed Vušković from Hajduk Split for £12million, with the centre-back set to join the North London club in the summer of 2025 after he turns 18 (via Evening Standard, 25 September 2023).
Vušković has scored four times in 10 Belgian Pro League appearances this season. He grabbed a brace in a 2-2 draw with Beerschot on Friday (4 October).
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has hailed the defender’s goalscoring ability.
“I’m really excited about him joining the club,” Wenham said.
“He seems to score all these massive headers from throw-ins and corners. He’s just a freakishly good prospect.
“He has been on loan in both Poland and Belgium. Both times, he seems to have become an instant starter in every game.”

Ange Postecoglou is currently pretty stacked in central defence, with Micky van de Ven earning plaudits after what he did in the 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford (29 September).
In addition, the club have some talented young players in that position too, with a Premier League loan being speculated for Ashley Phillips next season.
Therefore, adding Vušković while only give them more quality in that position. He will still only be 18 when he arrives in North London. However, he will have far more experience than most players his age, which could prove beneficial for Postecoglou.
The defender would have already played in the top flights of Croatia, Poland and Belgium. As a result, it might not be long until he makes an impact at first-team level for Spurs.
In other Tottenham news, one “fantastic” loanee has been urged to “bide his time” after recent frustration.
