Everton are keeping a close eye on Eddie Nkeitiah and are interested in signing him from Arsenal, according to Sébastien Vidal.
The French journalist reported, via X, on 8 August that Toffees sporting director Kevin Thelwell has “expressed his admiration” for the 25-year-old.
A potential deal for the one-cap England international has been described as “a boon” for Sean Dyche who wants to improve his squad’s attacking options.
Everton are “keeping a close eye” on the striker who is also of interest to Olympique Marseille.
Everton interested in Eddie Nketiah
The number nine situation at Goodison Park is one that is constantly changing with transfer rumours rife.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation has continued to rumble on while Beto has been linked to a return to Atalanta during the window [Tutto Atalanta].
It is unclear who will begin the season upfront under Dyche but there is no doubt that Nketiah could prove to be a positive option.
In his limited opportunities for the Gunners, the Englishman scored five goals and provided two assists across 10 starts and an additional 17 substitute appearances [FotMob].
It could be said that if the striker is afforded more regular game time in the Premier League he could become a proper goalscorer.
The Arsenal man could cost a large sum for the Toffees which could put a deal at risk but could depend on other transfers going through.
If Beto or Calvert-Lewin go, a deal for the 25-year-old could be rushed through by Thelwell and Dyche before the transfer deadline.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued an update as the Toffees now want to sign a £25m-rated ‘Explosive’ central midfielder.
