Everton would have to sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin if they want to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported on 8 August that the Albania international is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Enzo Maresca will hold talks with the 22-year-old after leaving him out of his preseason squad which has piqued the interest of the Toffees and Wolves.

If Sean Dyche wants to bring the former Fulham loanee in, a deal to sell Calvert-Lewin would become more likely.

Everton could sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin to fund Broja deal

The Englishman is clearly debating whether or not a move away from Goodison Park is what he wants this summer, with Newcastle United interested [Graeme Bailey].

There is no doubt that the Englishman was much improved towards the back end of last season and fans will be hoping he can build on that moving forward.

Given that he has a year remaining on his contract, there is every chance that the striker moves on and won’t sign a new deal.

Broja would certainly pose a risk if he was to become the main number nine at Everton but he could prove to be a success.

During his loan spell with Southampton, the Albanian was superb and if he could rediscover that form the Toffees would have a proper player on their hands.

The issue is that his temporary switch to Fulham was so unsuccessful that his parent club don’t really want him back amongst their squad.

There is a decision to be made for Dyche and Co. and it is not an easy one.

In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued an update as the Toffees now want to sign a £25m-rated ‘Explosive’ central midfielder.
