Friedkins could look at Everton player contract within days, possibly of exit agreement - report

The Friedkin Group may address the contract situation of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton in the New Year amid links to Fiorentina, according to TEAMtalk.

With the striker’s deal expiring at the end of the season, the news outlet reports that there’s a “possibility” of him agreeing a pre-contract with La Viola next month.

The Friedkins have not yet held talks with the England international over an extension but could do so within days as he can pre-agree an offer from a foreign club from 1 January.

AC Milan are also interested in the 27-year-old but aren’t actively pursuing a deal at the moment.

Friedkins to make Dominic Calvert-Lewin move at Everton

TFG have finally completed their takeover of the Merseyside outfit from Farhad Moshiri, and the Goodison faithful have high hopes from the Americans.

Sean Dyche has slowly turned the tide at the Toffees, getting crucial points against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The English manager has relied on Calvert-Lewin for most of the season, but the striker’s record has been underwhelming.

Everton have scored the second-fewest goals in the English top flight in the current campaign, with the 27-year-old finding the back of the net just twice.

The Blues have Beto in their ranks, but the Guinean has been underwhelming since his move from Udinese.

Armando Broja has recently featured for the Toffees after returning from injury, but it remains to be seen how well the Chelsea loanee does up until the end of the season.

Dan Friedkin has the opportunity to usher in a new successful era at the Merseyside outfit, but Calvert-Lewin can’t be the first choice number nine ahead of the move to Bramley-Moore Docks.

In other Everton news, West Brom ace Tom Fellows has been backed to join the Blues.
