Wolves supporters believe that Gary O’Neil wants to be sacked after his post-match interview following their defeat against Ipswich Town.
The Midlands giants were defeated 2-1 by the Tractor Boys after a 94th-minute goal from Jack Taylor left Wolves fans heartbroken.
Matt Doherty’s own goal had initially given Ipswich the lead until Matheus Cunha equalised in the 72nd minute, but O’Neil’s side were unable to hang onto the result.
O’Neil told BBC Sport, “Ipswich will never score a goal like that against another Premier League team it’s impossible. I saw Delap score goals like that in his youth team when he was a foot bigger than everyone and he was bashing people out of the way, but it can’t happen at this level.
“The set piece stuff, we have tried everything. I would happily take that as my fault if people were stood in the right place and people were doing their jobs, but for that one, they weren’t and we get badly punished.”
The result left Wolves 19th in the Premier League table as Ipswich pushed three points away from them.
