'Get out of Scotland...' - BBC pundit drops 'Robbery' verdict after Rangers v Tottenham

Tottenham need to get away from Ibrox “quickly” after the “robbery” that took place in their Europa League game against Rangers on Thursday, Marvin Bartley has said.

Spurs and Philippe Clement’s men shared the points in a 1-1 draw after the Gers lost the lead thanks to a Dejan Kulusevski goal in the 75th minute.

Rangers retained eighth place in the Europa League thanks to the point they earned at Ibrox after an impressive finish from the in-form Hamza Igamane.

Writing via his personal X account (12 December), BBC pundit Bartley shared his thoughts on the Europa League clash.

“I must admit I expected Rangers to get beat BUT…. Spurs need to get out of Scotland and quickly after that robbery,” he wrote.

“Rangers deserved all three points for sure. Dominated throughout! Off to sleep as it’s the middle of the night here.”

Over the last few weeks, Clement’s men have really come into their own and have started to show their fans the talent they have within their ranks.

Since the start of the season the Belgian’s job has been under some severe scrutiny but thanks to these recent results, it feels like he’s starting to win fans back over.

Their tie against the Bhoys on Sunday is going to be extremely telling about whether they have what it takes to compete for the title.

The last Old Firm clash ended with the Gers somewhat red-faced as they were beaten 3-0 at Celtic Park with James Tavernier being among those to be turned inside-out.

However, much like Igamane, the Englishman has found himself in a purple patch of form recently and could well be getting back to his best.

Only time will tell what the future has in store for Rangers, but at the moment, it feels like they’re in a pretty good place to face their arch-rivals in the final.
