Sean Dyche will be delighted after Iliman Ndiaye made a bright cameo for Senegal ahead of returning to Everton.

Ndiaye played 31 minutes in Senegal’s 1-0 win against Malawi on Tuesday (15 October) after coming on as a substitute in the 59th minute.

The 24-year-old posted encouraging numbers despite being restricted to a brief cameo and will now return to Finch Farm unscathed.

While the Toffees will be happy about Ndiaye making an impact for Senegal, they will also be glad he was restricted to a role from the bench.

The Senegalese has established himself as one of Everton’s best players since arriving from Marseille in the summer and it is important that he stays fit as the festive season approaches.

As for his performance against Malawi, the forward registered 18 touches of the ball during the half an hour he was on the pitch (FotMob).

He completed 11 of his 12 passes, including one into the final third and a long ball, with 92 per cent accuracy.

Furthermore, Ndiaye had two attempts on goal, with one hitting the target.

The former Sheffield United man was also involved in defence, winning one of his two tackles and recovering the ball five times.

More impressively, he won each of his three duels with 100 per cent success.

Ndiaye will now look to rest up ahead of Everton’s league clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday (19 October) when he is expected to start.

He was impressive in his last outing for the Merseyside-based club as they played out a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United.

In other Everton news, Michael Ball has stressed the need for Dyche to get the fans on his side ahead of the busy schedule.
