'I can't see...' - King drops Tottenham team prediction v West Ham after triple injury boost

Bryan King doesn’t believe Richarlison will start against West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Saturday (19 October).

The ex-Spurs scout does, however, feel as though the Brazilian and Wilson Odobert offer Ange Postecoglou “interesting” options off the bench.

It comes after reliable Spurs insider Paul O Keefe shared via X (10 October) that Son Heung-min, Odobert and Richarlison could all return to first-team training next week.

However, King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t see Dominic Solanke being dropped, despite his recent issues with the striker’s performances.

“Richarlison does nothing to please me, to be honest,” King said.

“Getting Odobert back is interesting, he gives Spurs another dimension. However, in terms of Solanke or Richarlison, who does he play?

“I can’t see Richarlison starting against West Ham. However, it does give Postecoglou another interesting option off the bench.”

Richarlison to return for Tottenham v West Ham?

Getting Son back will be the biggest boost for Postecoglou, with King praising a recent decision which has sped the South Korean’s recovery along.

However, having Richarlison and Odobert available as well is also a big boost. Even if neither player goes straight back into the starting lineup, it strengthens Spurs’ squad overall.

Richarlison provides a different option off the bench and can be brought on if Postecoglou needs something different up front.

Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert are all set to return for Tottenham

Therefore, while he might not start over Solanke, the 27-year-old’s return is certainly a boost.

In other Tottenham news, John Wenham has been raving about an “absolutely insane” talent set to join the club amid a Fabrizio Romano update.
