'I have seen...' - Finance Expert shares if Friedkin-Everton takeover to be greenlit by PL

Dan Friedkin should not face any issues in getting the Everton takeover greenlit by the Premier League, according to Stefan Borson.

Having analysed the deal, the finance expert expects this to be a pretty straightforward thing with minimum fuss.

This comes after the Toffees announced on 23 September that an agreement had been reached with the Friedkin Group for the sale of Farhad Moshiri’s stake in the club.

Borson wrote on X: “Yes I think so. Everything I have seen suggests they are straight and straightforward. And would think PL will want minimum fuss. Cheers.”

Everton fans will hope the takeover goes ahead without any fuss

The Goodison Park faithful, having weathered numerous false dawns regarding the club’s takeover, might remain sceptical despite the promising news about Friedkin’s involvement.

Over the past year, potential takeovers have often been touted as solutions to the club’s financial woes, only for these deals to falter or not meet expectations.

However, Friedkin’s reputation and the straightforward nature of his deal, as highlighted by Borson, offer a glimmer of genuine hope.

The American billionaire’s track record with AS Roma and his financial clout suggest he could be the stabilising force Everton need.

His approach appears less about immediate profit and more about long-term investment, which aligns with the club’s need for stability, especially with the new stadium project nearing completion.

While fans might guard their optimism due to past disappointments, Friedkin’s credentials make him arguably the best possible owner at this point in time.
