Ibrox View: Clement to axe Robin Propper in three changes - Rangers predicted XI v Dynamo Kyiv

Philippe Clement could make three changes to his Rangers starting XI ahead of a second-leg clash against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday (13 August).

The Gers held out for a 2-1 victory against Motherwell at Hampden Park on Saturday 10 August, and the manager could look to take Robin Propper, Scott Wright and Vaclav Cerny out of the new lineup.

While the latter was instrumental in the victory, scoring what turned out to be the winning goal, it has been predicted that his game time will be carefully managed [Dr Rajpal Brar], which could see Jefte come in.

Propper was finally handed his debut for the Light Blues, though it was a rather mixed performance after picking up a yellow card, scoring an own goal and being substituted after 73 minutes.

With eyebrows raised by Wright’s selection against the Steelmen, the duo could be replaced by Leon Balogun and Ross McCausland, respectively, and aim to win at home after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

As usual, Jack Butland is expected to remain in between the sticks for such an important Champions League qualification match at Hampden Park.

Balogun could come back into the starting lineup after playing the final 20 minutes against Motherwell, partnering up with John Souttar, covered by James Tavernier and Ridvan Yilmaz.

The Turkish full-back somewhat struggled on Saturday, picking up a late yellow card, which could see Clement deploy a more defensively-minded player at left-wing in Jefte.

Mohamed Diomande and Connor Barron will, of course, be expected to make up the midfield duo, with Tom Lawrence slightly ahead of them in the attacking midfield role.

With Jefte on the left flank, McCausland could be given an opportunity to impress on the opposite side and probably should be to replace Wright at right wing.

This would leave Cyriel Dessers as a lone striker, who was able to secure a dramatic 1-1 draw in the first leg between the two sides on Tuesday 6 August.

In other Rangers news, the Gers desperately need one new transfer before August 30 deadline.
