Tottenham and Liverpool are both looking for new players but could now face surprise competition from Turkey for the same player.
Both Spurs and the Reds know that new signings are needed in the coming weeks and there’s a feeling things will be ramped up soon.
Of course, in a busy and demanding transfer market, there’s always the chance that England’s top clubs come across each other on certain deals.
Indeed, when it comes to Tottenham and Liverpool, it looks very much the case.
As we’ve reported on TBR numerous times, Italian striker Federico Chiesa is a target for a number of English clubs.
Tottenham are thought to be keen, with reports even suggesting talks had been opened, while Liverpool are also keen on Chiesa as well.
However, according to Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale, another club, Besiktas, have now also joined the race to sign Chiesa.
Besiktas make approach to sign Tottenham and Liverpool linked Federico Chiesa
Taking to X to provide the update on Chiesa, TuttoJuve journalist Di Natale has reported that Turkish giants Besiktas have now made a move.
Of course, Besiktas will not be able to pay Chiesa the same sort of money he can get with a move to England.
However, it does throw yet another spanner in the works for the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool.
Further, there’s also reports that Chiesa actually sees a move to Manchester United as his most desired option, if he is indeed to come to England.
Arsenal, too, are still in the picture for the Italian with claims that talks have been opened as well.
It seems that there is now a bit of a clamour for Chiesa and with Juventus keen to get him off the books, things could pick up speed.
