Dominic Solanke is set to join Tottenham as their second major signing of the summer transfer window.
The Bournemouth striker has signed for Spurs, and this deal is now official.
However, Tottenham’s business may not be over yet.
Indeed, with three weeks left of the transfer window, Spurs have time to do more deals and bolster their squad further.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Michael Bridge has been discussing what Tottenham may still do in the transfer window, and he says that the north London club could still sign another attacking player.
Tottenham could sign another attacker
Bridge shared what Spurs could do before the end of this window.
“I certainly won’t rule it out. Of course they have re-signed Timo Werner on loan, they have Brennan Johnson, Kulusevski, Heung-Min Son who can play as a striker or as a wide player,” Bridge said.
“I wouldn’t completely rule it out. I don’t think anything will happen in the next week or so, but it could be something for later on in the window.”
Tottenham don’t need another attacker
Tottenham could be in the market for another attacker, but they don’t really need to bring in another player in this mould.
As Bridges notes, Tottenham already have Kulusevski, Son, Werner Johnson and Kulusevski and that’s before you even mention Manor Solomon and Richarlison as well as youth players like Mikey Moore, Will Lankshear and Jamie Donley.
Spurs are already top-heavy as things stand, and they don’t need to bring in another attacker after getting Solanke.
Of course, departures for certain players could change Tottenham’s stance on all of this, but it would feel as though it would be overkill if Spurs were to sign another attacking player at this point.
Tottenham still have some more business to do this summer, but an extra attacker shouldn’t. necessarily be their top priority at this point.
