Jack Grealish caught 'liking' Mohamed Salah post ahead of Liverpool clash

Man City ace Jack Grealish has been spotted ‘liking’ Mohamed Salah’s latest social media post ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Sunday (December 1).

Grealish, 29, and Man City are winless in their last six games across all competitions, most recently throwing away a 3-0 lead in their Champions League draw with Feyenoord on Tuesday (November 26).

Their dismal run of form has left them eight points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, severely denting their hopes of a fifth consecutive title.

The winger has hardly featured for Pep Guardiola’s side throughout this run after picking up an injury ahead of their 5-0 win over Sparta Prague earlier in the season.

He has since returned, first with a cameo substitute appearance in their 4-0 defeat to Tottenham, followed by a starting role in the draw against Feyenoord.

Man City star Jack Grealish puts Liverpool rivalry aside

In stark contrast, Liverpool have been electric this season, comfortably beating current European champions Real Madrid 2-0 to stay top of the new Champions League group phase.

Salah, 32, and Real Madrid have a history after former defender Sergio Ramos took him out in the 2018 final, seriously injuring his shoulder.

He finally got his revenge on Wednesday. Despite missing a penalty in the 70th minute, goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo, combined with a toothless Madrid performance, ensured the miss didn’t matter.

Delighted with the result, the Egypt international took to Instagram to post a number of images from the game, which rival Grealish promptly ‘liked.’

Liverpool will go 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League table should they beat Man City at Anfield on Sunday.

Not only would a defeat be disastrous for City’s title chances, but they could also fall out of the top four altogether, with Brighton, Arsenal, and Chelsea all just one point behind them.
